About the role
The M&A function plays a very central and strategic part in Loomis’ growth and is responsible for driving all M&A activities globally within the Group. The function also supports the countries and lines of businesses with strategic analysis and various corporate development activities. As a Corporate Development Manager at Loomis, you will be involved in all steps of the M&A process as well as contribute to helping to shape the strategic direction of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of corporate finance and financial analysis, applying strategic frameworks to drive business and the ability to work collaboratively across various functions and countries. In this role you will report to the Global Head of M&A and be based in the global HQ office in central Stockholm. The M&A function works closely with the executive management, the regional and country management, as well as with the different lines of businesses, on top of the external international community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, keep track of the competitive landscape and analyze competitor activities, identify potential growth opportunities for Loomis within existing businesses as well as exploring adjacent areas
  • Perform strategic analysis as part of evaluating different lines of businesses and opportunities for Loomis to grow
  • Assist and support in the development of setting frameworks and tools for strategic prioritization of various growth initiatives within the group
  • Analyze market data and financial information to support strategic decision-making
  • Perform financial analysis, including DCF and other valuation analysis, on potential M&A targets
  • Screen, identify and analyze potential M&A or investment cases
  • Assist and coordinate in M&A processes, from sourcing to post-closing
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executive management, the board or other stakeholders
  • Support in post-merger integration, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Actively contribute to continuously develop and improve the function’s structural capital for M&A and strategic frameworks
  • Participate in Group projects and ad-hoc tasks, when they occur

Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, industrial engineering or another related field  
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in either strategy consulting, similar corporate development role/s, investment banking, private equity, or a combination of some of these
  • Strong financial, strategic and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish

The ideal candidate possesses

  • Experience from commercial due diligence work and working with setting strategic frameworks in an international context, as well as setting strategy for acquisitive environments is considered an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple various tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • The ability to take on and structure complex information and understand complex business logic and value drivers
  • The attention to details without losing the big picture
  • A curious and proactive attitude with a strong business acumen and business interest, thrives to work in a fast-paced global environment
  • Strong team player with” soft” skills with the ability to both work as part of a team, as well as independently
