Head of Customer Analysis Section – Energy & BMN Sweden

Would you like to help establish DNB as the leading Corporate and Institutional bank in Sweden? We are seeking an experienced credit professional to take on the role as Head of Customer Analysis Section (CAS) – Energy & BMN Sweden. This is a key position combining people leadership and senior credit responsibility, with a strong operational focus within the Energy sector. You will report to the Head of Energy & BMN Sweden and head up one of three CAS units in Sweden.

About CAS

CAS is DNB Corporate Banking Sweden’s team of credit analysts, working closely with customer teams to assess credit risk and produce the credit papers behind the bank’s lending decisions. DNB has a sector-focused approach covering Consumer, Industrials, Financial Institutions, Energy, Healthcare, TMT, Business Services, Real Estate and Financial Sponsors / Leveraged Finance.

About the role

You will lead a team of five analysts and play an active role in credit processes, transactions and customer teams. While the team covers both Energy and BMN, including Real Estate and Public, your own work and portfolio will be focused on Energy.

Energy is a truly global business within DNB, and best practices are utilized across all international offices.

You will combine strong financial and credit analysis with a deep understanding of the sector, its business models and key market dynamics. The role involves close collaboration with client teams, clients and other internal stakeholders, including DNB Carnegie.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in DNB’s lending decisions, further develop the bank’s expertise within Energy and drive competence development in your team. The role is part of the Swedish CAS leadership setup and involves close collaboration across the Nordic organisation.

Key responsibilities

As Head of CAS within Energy & BMN, your responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a team of five credit analysts.

• Contributing to the development of sector expertise, analytical approaches and knowledge sharing within your CAS team and in CAS Sweden together with the other CAS leaders.

• Assessing new transactions and financing events, including financial performance, business models, capital structures and key sector-specific risk drivers.

• Taking ownership of the credit process and preparing credit documentation and decision material for credit committees and senior stakeholders.

• Monitoring credit risk across an existing client portfolio, including financial performance, counterparty exposure and relevant market developments.

Your profile

• Around 10 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate banking or a closely related field.

• Solid understanding of sector dynamics, transaction structuring and relevant risk drivers relating to Energy is an advantage.

• Experience analysing larger and/or more complex corporate clients, including financial performance, cash flow, leverage and capital structures.

• Experience assessing financing needs, debt sizing and credit risk in contexts such as growth investments, M&A, refinancing or other corporate transactions.

• Leadership experience or clear leadership potential.
