Would you like to help establish DNB as the leading bank within the Energy sector in Sweden? We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven leader who wants to combine strategic client responsibility with leadership of our Swedish Energy Coverage team.
DNB is Norway’s largest bank and one of the leading financial groups in the Nordic region. In Sweden, we are in an expansive and dynamic phase. Together with DNB Carnegie, the leading investment bank in the Nordics, we offer deep industry expertise, international presence, and tailored financial solutions that help our clients grow and develop in both Swedish and global markets.
About the role
The Large Corporates & International (LCI) division is responsible for DNB’s largest clients across sectors including industrials, energy, consumer trade & services, financial institutions, healthcare, tech, and financial sponsors. The business is global, with a presence across the Nordics, London, New York, Santiago, Singapore, and Sydney.
Energy Coverage includes subsectors such as power & utilities, renewables, energy storage & batteries. In Sweden, the team consists of three Client Executives who collaborate closely with sector and product colleagues across the Nordics.
As Sector Head you will, in co-operation with Global Sector heads in Oslo and Local Section Head, combine strategic client responsibility with leadership of the Swedish Energy Coverage team. You will have personnel responsibility for three Client Executives and play a key role in driving the team’s commercial agenda, business prioritization, and overall development in a period of growth. At the same time, you will remain operationally active with your own portfolio of mid- & large-cap clients within the energy sector.
The role involves developing and managing both existing and new client relationships by providing strategic financial advice and tailored solutions. You will coordinate closely with internal specialist functions such as credit, Transaction banking, risk, and capital markets, while also fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Nordic Energy platform.
The position requires strong commercial understanding, leadership capability, solid market knowledge, and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
