Client Executive – Financial Sponsor Coverage, DNB LCI

About the role

The Large Corporates & International (LCI) division is responsible for DNB’s largest clients across sectors including industrials, energy, consumer trade & services, financial institutions, healthcare, tech, and financial sponsors. The business is global, with a presence across the Nordics, London, New York, Singapore, and Sydney.

Financial Sponsors Group (FSG) manages the relationships with Private Equity and Infrastructure funds on behalf of Large Corporate & International, including DNB’s Fund Finance portfolio, and serves as DNBs center of excellence and execution for LBO structures. In addition, the group is responsible for Family Offices and DNB’s Debt Collection clients across the Nordics.

In Sweden the team currently consists of four Client Executives, complemented by colleagues in Oslo. The team works in close collaboration with industry teams and divisions across LCI as well as with DNB Carnegie and other product areas globally. As we continue to expand our presence in Sweden, we are seeking a Client Executive with a strong commercial mindset to deepen the relationships with PE sponsors and delivering high-quality LBO solutions.

Main responsibilities

As Client Executive for Private Equity Coverage you will be responsible for coverage of a portfolio of private equity sponsors on behalf of LCI. In addition to coverage, you will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing LBOs and related financings, coordinating with internal specialists (Credit and industry sectors) and DNB Carnegie to deliver best-in-class solutions from pitch to signing/closing.

• Manage and build relationships with PE firms; develop actionable ideas and financing angles across new money, refinancings and add-ons.

• Lead the LBO processes, term sheet negotiation, documentation and closing; coordinate product partners, industry sectors and DNB Carnegie.

• Prepare credit assessments, structure facilities, present to credit committees, and manage risk throughout the transaction lifecycle.

• Team with DNB Carnegie and internal product areas to deliver integrated solutions and cross selling.

• Maintain a data driven view on sponsor activity, market, valuations, leverage trends, and documentation terms to inform client dialogue and risk/reward.

Who We’re Looking For

• An academic background within a relevant field of study such as economics, finance, engineering, business or similar

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Leveraged Finance / Sponsor Coverage Investment Banking with a track record of originating and executing LBOs in the Nordics.

• Strong credit skills, confidence in drafting pitches, term sheets and negotiating documentation.

• Effective orchestrator and collaborator across Credit, industry sections, and DNB Carnegie teams in a fast paced, deal driven environment.

• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Swedish.
